Have you had the dreaded flu this year?

Flu season is here and in full effect! Have you had the dreaded flu this year — or did someone you know come down with it? If so, we definitely feel your pain!

This time of year it’s impossible to avoid other people, which makes avoiding the flu a real challenge because the flu virus can be spread through the air when people cough or sneeze. The virus also lives on surfaces, so skin-to-skin contact or touching a contaminated surface also puts you at risk of exposure.

The flu is an inconvenience for most of us — but for some people, it can be deadly. With that in mind, we found this handy CDC resource to tell you more about the flu, including how to tell if you’ve come down with it and how to take the best possible care of yourself. Topics include:

  • How do I know if I have the flu?
  • What should I do if I get sick?
  • Do I need to go the emergency room if I’m only a little sick?
  • What are the emergency warning signs of flu sickness?
